I once made my best friend read free-verse poetry I'd written in the form of journal entries about first contact with aliens. Her only remark: "I never realized before how deeply you are a storyteller. Everything you create will always be a story."

Each collage I make now is also a story. Some are immediately obvious; some are less so. Half image, half text scraps, "narrative dreamscapes" seemed the best way to describe them.
